Gaming Competitions & Free-Play Area
Test your skills in a variety of gaming competitions or kick back in our free-play gaming zone, complete with over 30 gaming systems. For tabletop enthusiasts, the tabletop gaming section offers everything from strategy games to party favourites.
Kids’ Zone & Crafting Workshops
For families, the dedicated Kids’ Zone includes art activities and a scavenger hunt designed to entertain and inspire young gamers. You can also try your hand at foam shield crafting and chainmail workshops—fun for all skill levels!
Cosplay Stars Competition
Cosplayers, this one’s for you! Join the Cosplay Stars competition for a chance to win part of over $800 in prizes. Not interested in competing? Enjoy the friendly cosplay environment and participate in the cosplay workshops to level up your skills.
Raffle Prizes and Grand Prize Draw
Throughout the day, attendees have the chance to win raffle prizes, with a grand prize draw for an OLED Nintendo Switch, generously donated by GameStop.
Meet the Founders: Darby Queiser & Chris Hodgson
TGE is the brainchild of Darby Queiser and Chris Hodgson, who wanted to create a space where fans could relive the joy and nostalgia of gaming. Since launching the Toronto Game Expo, they’ve brought together thousands of fans through their love of gaming and community, inspired by their work with the Barrie Game Exchange.
“Toronto Game Expo was born from the best memories of my childhood,” Chris explains. “We do this twice a year to bring back that joy and unity gaming creates,” Darby adds.
