TLDR - PlayStation State of Play Sept 2023
After yesterday mornings Nintendo Direct, Sony didn't want to miss out on the action. Shortly after Nintendo's event, Sony held its own PlayStation State of Play presentation at 5pm EST, and it was a significant event.
While the show didn't begin with a big bang—Sorry Baby Steps...it was to slow paced for me!—the overall presentation had some great highlights. Notably they announced the release date and collector's edition for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, accompanied by a trailer featuring familiar FFVII characters and locations.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 showcased an impressive glimpse of an expanded city. Capcom revealed the imminent release date for Resident Evil 4's Separate Ways DLC. Additionally, there's exciting news about upcoming PS5 controllers and console shells.
The list below highlights all the games featured during the 27-minute show. If you want to catch a replay of the event, it's available on Sony's YouTube channel. (Link below!)
