NHL 25 Season 2: PWHL Update, HUT Events, and Arcade+

Season 2 of NHL 25 is here! This season marks the groundbreaking addition of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL), new events for Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT), updates for World of Chel, and the chaotic debut of Arcade+. Here's everything you need to know:

Welcome to the PWHL

For the first time in NHL 25, the six PWHL teams—Boston Fleet, Minnesota Frost, Montréal Victoire, New York Sirens, Ottawa Charge, and Toronto Sceptres—join the roster.

  • Available Modes: Play Now, Online Versus, Shootout, and a unique Season Mode competing for the Walter Cup.
  • Hockey Ultimate Team: Collect PWHL players and showcase PWHL-themed vanity items in World of Chel.

Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT)

  • Season 2 XP Path: Earn a 90 OVR Victor Hedman and power-up players upgradeable to 88 OVR.
  • HUT Events:
    • Protect The Net (Nov 29 – Dec 13): Focus on elite two-way players and goaltenders.
    • Frozen Forces (Dec 13 – Dec 27): Holiday-themed event featuring NHL stars.
    • Gallery of Greats (Dec 27 – Jan 10): Celebrating hockey's all-time best.
    • HUT 2000 (Jan 10 – Jan 24): Featuring stars and players born in the year 2000.
  • Team of the Year (TOTY): Arrives Jan 24 in Season 3, celebrating 2024’s top players.

World of Chel

  • Season 2 Battle Pass:
    • Over 90 rewards across 75 levels.
    • Premium Battle Pass includes the Tropic Glow Vanity Set.
  • Custom Loadouts:
    • Gain attribute points each season, carrying over and improving ratings year-round.

Arcade+: New Power-Ups & Characters (Dec 20)

Experience the chaos with these new power-ups:

  • Lightning: Strikes that stun everyone, including the goalie.
  • Curse: Reverse your opponent’s controls with a voodoo doll.
  • TNT Puck: Explosive puck that creates game-changing opportunities.
  • Angry Mascot: Summon your team’s mascot to disrupt the opposing team.

Special Characters: Antler and Woody join the fun and are now available in the store.
