Nintendo has just unveiled the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, an interactive alarm clock that promises to make waking up much more fun. Priced at $99.99 USD (or $129.99 CAD), Alarmo will hit retail stores in early 2025. However, if you're a Nintendo Switch Online member in the U.S. or Canada, you can snag it early through the My Nintendo Store.
One of the standout features of Alarmo is its motion sensor technology. This means you can snooze your alarm simply by waving your hand and turning it off just by getting out of bed. It's designed to make those groggy mornings a little less jarring.
With Alarmo, you can choose from 35 different scenes inspired by beloved Nintendo games like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4 and Ring Fit Adventure . Each scene comes with its own unique sounds and music, so you can wake up to the cheerful tunes of the Mushroom Kingdom or embark on a morning adventure with Link and Princess Zelda.
Alarmo also lets you keep track of your sleep patterns with a feature called "Records," which monitors how much you move while sleeping. Additionally, you can customize hourly chimes based on your favorite game themes and choose between different alarm modes:
- Steady Mode gradually increases the volume if you stay in bed too long.
- Gentle Mode keeps the sound level consistent.
- Button Mode gives you that classic snooze button experience.
And when it's time to wind down at night, you can listen to soothing music and sounds to help you relax.
If you link your Nintendo Account, you'll also get access to additional scenes from games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons through free updates when they become available.
