Dead by Daylight embarks on an ominous journey with its latest Chapter, Doomed Course, now available on all platforms. This gripping addition introduces The Houndmaster, the game’s first Killer with an AI-controlled companion, and Taurie Cain, a Survivor with a morally complex past. Together, they delve into the eerie depths of Dead by Daylight's ever-expanding lore.

Meet the Houndmaster and Snug

A tragic figure consumed by vengeance, The Houndmaster (Portia Maye) wields Scent of Blood, a unique Power that incorporates Snug, her loyal canine companion. This marks the debut of an AI-controlled animal in Dead by Daylight.

  • Snug's Commands:
    • Houndsense: Detects Survivors within its radius.
    • Chase: Restrains Survivors, leaving them vulnerable to The Houndmaster’s merciless strikes.
  • Perks:
    1. All-Shaking Thunder: Leap from a height for a powerful extended lunge.
    2. Scourge Hook: Jagged Compass: Reveal the Generator with the most progress after a Scourge Hook event.

Introducing Taurie Cain

A devoted disciple of The Entity’s nefarious sect, the Black Talon, Taurie Cain walks a moral tightrope as Dead by Daylight’s darkest Survivor. Her Perks challenge Survivors and Killers alike with unique risks and rewards:

  1. Invocation: Treacherous Crows: Sacrifice your health to reveal the Killer’s Aura upon disturbing a Crow.
  2. Clean Break: Heal another Survivor and become Broken, with the chance to regain full health later.
  3. Shoulder The Burden: Transfer a Hook State to yourself, saving a Survivor at great personal risk.
